BIO

Mashid Mohadjerin received her MFA in photography in 2002 and started freelancing for magazines and organizations in 2004. Meanwhile she continued to work on personal projects that focus mainly on social and cultural identity and the sense of belonging. Her stories are often about communities in transition. Her work has taken her to the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and North America.

Her clients include The New York Times, Newsweek, Global Post, La Repubblica/La Domenica, BBC online, Wall Street Journal, The Globe & Mail, MSF, Oxfam, Amnesty Journal, Mondiaal magazine (Belgium), De Morgen (Belgium), De Standaard Magazine (Belgium), De Knack (Belgium), De Volkskrant (The Netherlands), Elsevier and many others.
